Tissé comme il y a des centaines d’années, notre hamac XL « Mariachi » est fabriqué dans les régions du Chiapas au sud du Mexique. Loin des usines et des machines de fabrication, nos Hamacs mexicains sont tissés à la main par de petites communautés familiales qui conservent les techniques ancestrales de fabrication, enseignées de génération en génération.

Un hamac 100% nylon : Un hamac indestructible

100% Nylon (The material of fishing nets): The only material that allows you to leave your Hammock outside, summer or winter, without having to bring it inside! Our hammock can withstand extreme weather conditions and is not affected by frost, rain or sun. However, for better care and durability, it is recommended to keep it under cover after use. Its thick wire and 156 cord arms are the ingredients for a hammock that will last for years.

For many Mexicans, 100% Nylon Hammocks, although more expensive, are increasingly favored. Why? Unlike cotton, which can be damaged by prolonged use in the sun and rain, the Nylon Hammock will have a higher durability with almost identical comfort. In southern Mexico, temperatures are warm almost year round. The hammock is used daily instead of a bed because its mesh allows air to pass through, being the best solution against the heat. Les hamacs sont principalement originaires d’Haïti, d’où le mot « hamac », qui en haïtien signifie « arbre » ou « de l’arbre ». A l’origine, le hamac était fabriqué à partir de filaments d’écorce d’arbre pour former une sorte de berceau entrelacé semblable à des filets de pêche.

2 quality controls are carried out for all our hammocks: The first, at the end of the manufacturing process by the craftsman, the second, by Hammock del Sol, before shipping to our customers.

100% Nylon
Polyamide, better known as "Nylon", is a fairly dense fiber. Its strong resistance to breakage, allows him to preserve the threads in case of tension. It is a strong and durable fabric. Easier to care for than cotton, Nylon does not wrinkle, does not crease easily and retains its shape even after washing.

Heat/UV: Nylon does not degrade when exposed to heat or ultraviolet rays, which is not the case with Polypropylene for example.
Moisture: Nylon has a low absorption rate, which makes this fabric ideal for moisture unlike cotton. When a Nylon Hammock is stretched, its fibers become fine and smooth while maintaining their strength.

Buckle protector:
In order to protect the rings, which are often solicited in the case of constant use, we systematically include buckle protectors to avoid their wear.

Unique model:
As this is a handmade work, measurements and finishes may vary slightly from one model to another. Each hammock is hand woven by different artisans, which is why each model is unique.

Good to know: The more ropes in the arms on each side, the longer the swing lasts.

Care
Be careful with rings, watches, bracelets as they can get tangled and create a small tear in the threads. In case this happens, it is recommended to lay down the Hammock and try to mend the threads, one by one.

Washing
It is recommended to wash your baby after the sixth month. Soak it in a bucket with soap and water. Separate the handles on each side to avoid tangling the threads and leave it to soak for 30 minutes. Rinse it in the same way and hang it in the sun.

Attachment
The hammock is fixed with ropes or straps (trees, poles, beams) or hooks (to walls). If the trees or walls are very far away, you can extend the hammock with our ropes or straps in the color of your hammock.

Installation
We always recommend that you try to attach the Hammock with a banana curve. Position the 2 rings between 3.40m to 3.50m long and 1.80m to 1.90m high. Make sure that this curve is not too low (70cm from the ground).

Good to know
The real way to use a hammock is to lie on the diagonal. This offers a better position for the back, after that, it's up to you, you can rest on your back, on your side or even on your stomach like many Latinos who are used to sleeping like this in their Hammock, since birth.
