Quality control
2 quality controls are carried out for all our hammocks: The first, at the end of the manufacturing process by the craftsman, the second, by Hammock del Sol, before shipping to our customers.

Unique product
The Hammock has not escaped the drifts of globalization. The rise in the price of cotton has led many Hammock distributors to produce industrially in China or India. The manufacturing at lower cost associated with the search for profit has resulted in the appearance of "cheap" Hammocks everywhere. New materials such as Polyester or Polypropylene (derived from plastic) have been integrated into the manufacture of today's Hammocks.

The authenticity of the country is one of the main assets of Nicaragua and its hand weaving remains its main characteristic and value. The manufacturing process of the Nicaraguan Hammocks has kept its roots, it is the same one that their ancestors used for many years.

The authentic Nicaraguan hammock is distinguished by its thick, tightly woven cotton, double thread and double stitch. Its strands of manila-twisted cotton rope are made by hand using a wheel and wooden poles.
This process is known as twisting.
The twisting is not done by the hammock producer but by small workshops (often family members) whose purpose is to twist the yarn into a manila. This avoids the increased cost of importing the result. For the elaboration of this Hammock, it is necessary to use different diameters of manila, which will be used to realize the body (bed) and the arms of the Hammock.
A very large quantity of cotton is necessary for its manufacture. In the end, it is an immensely solid structure made of ropes of great diameter for an unequalled comfort.

Because of its unquestionable quality, this handmade product has become one of the symbols of Nicaragua

Positioning
To be able to lie down or stand up comfortably, the center of the hammock's body should preferably be at hip height.

Conseil d’utilisation

Avoid moisture from rain. If it gets wet, hang it on the wall and if it gets wet, hang it in a ventilated area in the sun.

Washing
Do not wash the Hammock in a washing machine. Wash it with soap without detergent that could damage the cotton, (remember that these are natural fibers).

Hang it up and scrub it with a soft brush and soap and water. Rinse and hang in a ventilated area.
